Because of licensing restrictions, you'll be connected to a secure sever once you click on the "download" link below. You'll be required to enter your OSU Internet username and password for access.
Install AEGIS Client
Note: As you're downloading the install file, the type of information that appears on your screen varies depending on the browser you're using.
- When the install file has finished
downloading and uncompressing, you're ready to start the installer
program. First save your work and exit from any other programs you may
have running.
- Open the folder where the downloaded file is located,
and open the folder AEGISClient_1_2_1.tgz.
Double-click on the AEGISClient_1_2_1.pkg icon.
- When the AEGIS splash screen appears, click on the Continue button.
- A "Read Me" file displays information about
minimum requirements and installing the software. When you're finished
reading, click on the Continue button.
- Read the Software License Agreement and then click
on the Agree button.
- A "Select Destination" screen appears. Make
your selection and click on Continue.
- A dialog box appears indicating an Easy
Install is ready to proceed. Click on the Install button
to begin installing the AEGIS client into your Applications folder.
- When the installation is complete, click on the Restart button to finish.
After your computer has been restarted, you must complete the configuration. This process is described in the AEGIS Configuration Guide for Macintosh available online (you must download this document separately; it is not included with the install files). Also be aware each wireless interface card has its own configuration. Instructions for setting up your card are available at http://www.osuweb.net/wireless.
