BadCopy License Agreement
You must read and agree to the following terms before you can begin the download:
This software is provided to you under an agreement between The Ohio State University and JufSoft Software. Under the terms of the license agreement, current faculty and staff may use this software while they are associated with the university. You may not a) transfer, rent, lease, or sublicense the software, b) decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer or create a derivative work of the software (except that you may create a derivative work from Samples supplied), or c) use it for commercial gain or profit. When you are no longer a current faculty or staff member, you must leave this software with your department or the Office of Information Technology.
The software is for use on The Ohio State University main and regional campuses on OSU-owned computers only. Home use is not allowed. You are authorized to install this software on one computer unless specifically authorized by OIT as a departmental computer support representative.
If you are authorized to install multiple copies, you must advise anyone who is using or receiving any of those copies that they are prohibited from distributing, modifying or making copies of the software, you must supply them with the terms of this agreement and you agree to provide their names to the IT Service Desk at 025 Central Classrooms to record the distribution. You can also provide this information by writing to Customer Services at 8help@osu.edu or by calling 688-HELP.
If you are placing copies into a student or other departmental lab setting that you manage, you agree to report the number of installed copies to OIT as above.
This software is protected by both United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Each installed copy of the program is registered with the Office of Information Technology as a function of your agreeing with these terms. Archival copies of this software may be made for the sole purpose of backing up your software.

First read the information that follows about downloading and installing the software and then signify your acceptance of the preceding license terms by clicking below.
Because of licensing restrictions, you'll be connected to a secure sever once you click the "I agree" link above. You'll be required to enter your OSU Internet username and password to connect to this server.
Install BadCopy
Note: As you're downloading the install file, the type of information that appears on your screen varies depending on the browser you're using.
- When the download is complete, you need to unzip the
BadCopy Pro file.
- Choose Run in the Start menu.
- Click the Browse button
in the "Run" dialog box.
- Locate the directory where you downloaded the file
and click badcopy4_10.exe. click Open and
then click OK. This will extract the
files you need to install the software.
- You're asked to select a destination drive where the
unzipped files will be placed. It's recommended you choose an empty, temporary
directory.
- Close all open windows and exit from any other programs
you may have running. Navigate to the directory where you expanded the
files, and double-click badcopy4.exe.
- After the setup program prepares the Install Shield
Wizard to lead you through the rest of the steps, click the Next> button
to continue.
- Read the License Agreement when it appears. If you
agree to the terms, click Yes.
- The Destination Location dialog box appears. You can
accept the default folder or click Browse to
select a different installation folder. When the Destination Folder dialog
box reappears, click the Next> button.
- The installation now begins. Follow the on-screen
directions to complete it.
- When you start BadCopy Pro for the first time, a window
appears stating you're using an evaluation copy. click the Order
Now button.
- A window appears for ordering the software with a box
where you can enter the Registration Key. Open the file called bdcpyreg.txt that
was unzipped above using a plain text editor (NOT MS Word) like Notepad
to TextPad.
- Copy and past the data into the "Registration key" box. Click OK; the copy will be registered.
