NetShield Patch for Novell NetWare Servers

Download and install NetShield patch

Download the patch by clicking on the link below. The type of information that appears on your screen varies depending on the browser you're using. After the file is downloaded, use the following instructions to uncompress and install the service pack.

1. Choose Run in the Start menu.
   
   
2. Click on the Browse button in the "Run" dialog box.
   
   
3. Open the subdirectory where you downloaded the file and then locate nsh463_01patch.exe.
   
   
4. Click on Open to select this file and then click on OK to begin unzipping it.
   
   
5. When prompted for an "extract to" directory, use an empty, temporary directory on your hard drive.
   
   
6. Unload NetShield for NetWare from the server by pressing F10 from the NetShield server console screen, or by issuing the following command at the server console.
   
   unload netshld
   
   
7. Backup or rename the files located in the SYS:\MCAFEE\NETSHLD directory to MCRELOAD.OLD, NAIREG.OLD, NETSHLD.OLD, and NSHPLGIN.OLD.
   
   
8. Copy the files extracted in Step 5 to the SYS:\MCAFEE\NETSHLD directory.
   
   
9. Reload NetShield for NetWare by issuing the following command at the server console.
   
   netshld
